We have been busy behind the scenes sourcing a new Press Brake to replace our trusty 4m Trumpf 5170 Machine that has been with us for 15 years.
The new machine will be the same format but with greater tonnage allowing us to fold thicker section at 4m in length but also still give us the flexibility of multiple set-ups, there is also a full suite of new tooling ensuring quality is at its peak from the outset.
The machine has fully automatic loading & unloading of tooling creating less downtime between jobs and lessening the burden on the operators handling sometimes heavy tooling.
There are also bending aids again to reduce the burden on the operator.
It comes fully equipped with angle measurement & correction to reduce the necessity of removing the part from the press to measure, there's also a part recognition camera that determines the correct orientation of the part being presented to the machine reducing errors in the bend sequence.
Alongside this we have invested in new software to accompany the press brake which will be invaluable on the larger projects.
The combination of the automatic loading / unloading of tooling & improved software enable us to take on larger assemblies, processing them more efficiently & accurately.
